Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Please note: This is a plain-language starting template, not legal advice. Before relying on it for your business, please have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer, or adapt it with a reputable legal-document service. Replace the contact email below with your own.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AutoCue (the "Service"), operated by Kitten Projects ("we", "us"). By creating an account, buying a pass, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What AutoCue is

AutoCue is a voice-controlled teleprompter that scrolls your script as you speak. The voice-following feature relies on your web browser's speech recognition and requires an internet connection to work.

2. Your account

3. Passes and payment

4. Refunds

Because passes give immediate, time-limited access, they are generally non-refundable once access begins, except where a refund is required by law. If something goes wrong on our side, contact us and we will try to make it right.

(You may wish to set your own refund policy here.)

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the scripts and content you put into AutoCue. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and display that content back to you so the Service can work.

7. Our intellectual property

AutoCue, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Kitten Projects and is protected by copyright. These Terms do not give you any ownership of it.

8. Availability and "as is"

We work to keep AutoCue running, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. The voice-following feature depends on your browser and internet connection, which are outside our control. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kitten Projects will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any issue that occurs during a live presentation or event. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 3 months.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows when. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Singapore.
